Babydoll Sheep For Sale

Six Wags Over Texas has been breeding high quality, registered miniature sheep since 2009 in the rolling hills of southern Grayson county in unincorporated Van Alstyne, Texas.

Our sheep are registered with the North American Babydoll Southdown Sheep Association and Registry (NABSSAR).

In addition to Babydoll Southdowns, we also breed Harlequin mini sheep - a relatively new All-American breed developed over the past 35 years.

Why Own Babydoll Sheep?

Considered a "heritage" breed, Babydoll Southdowns were once deemed an endangered breed by the Livestock Conservancy. After many years of dedication to popularizing this small sheep, their numbers have increased and they have finally been designated as a "recovering" breed. This is certainly good news for our "wooly" friends and those of us who love and care for them.

Easy To Handle

Babydolls usually weigh between 80 and 120 lbs, much smaller than more popular breeds such as Hampshire and Suffolk. As such, they are great for Seniors and homes with younger children.

Sheep Smiles!!

One of the most endearing features of Babydolls are their fuzzy "Teddy Bear" faces. Add that to their permanent smiles and you'll fall in love with these sweet, calm little sheep.

Easy Keepers

The term "easy keepers" refers to the fact that Babydoll sheep make the most out of what they eat. This makes them ideal for small acreages and cuts down on feed costs.
